Confirmation is the sacrament that completes Christian Initiation and strengthens the baptized with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. At St. Gabriel, candidates are prepared to more fully embrace their faith and live as committed disciples of Jesus Christ. Through catechesis, prayer, service opportunities, and active participation in parish life, candidates deepen their understanding of Catholic teaching and their call to witness to the Gospel. Preparation encourages personal reflection, spiritual growth, and a greater awareness of the Holy Spirit’s work in their lives. In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the bishop (or his delegate) anoints each candidate with sacred chrism, sealing them with the Gift of the Holy Spirit.
